F1rst

Working with film maker Clay Porter for a third time on his 2008 film titled F1RST, Defgrip Studio provided art direction for the entire project. The documentary style film features the world’s greatest downhill mountain bike racers and was filmed in 16 countries over four different continents. With a simple design aesthetic and black and white photography, a consistent brand was built based off a cover photo and an ad campaign featuring empty downhill race tracks. Along with the ad campaign we created film titles, DVD packaging, movie posters, as well as the design and development of the F1RST website.
